Blackhawks–Farnborough II  47–8 

Friday 16-OCT-2015, Bracknell CVL: It was the first game of the season and the Blackhawks were raring to go. Our opponents were the Farnborough Phantoms II. Riccardo, Noah, Lucas, Matthew and Oliver took to the floor and played the best basketball in this game, resulting in a solid lead 16-2 at the end of Q1. Noah was by far the busiest with 10points, 2 steals and 2 assists. Lucas decided it was time to shoot the lights out and impressed with three buckets from open play.

Jacob, Riccardo, Liam, Daniel and Henry continued the good work in Q2, with Jacob, Riccardo, Liam and Daniel getting on the scoreboard scoring 11 points between them, taking the half-time tally to 27-4. With the game effectively won, it was time to try out our plays. 

Well… we managed to get to the basket often enough but could we finish? Fairly normal for start of season rustiness, we are confident things will improve soon. Matthew tried hard but was unlucky to only score once. In Q4, Jacob decided he’d like to start working towards his top scorer award by putting 10 points up on the board with an extra 4 coming from Liam. Henry thought it’d be a good idea to establish his presence and crash the boards with 2 defensive and 2 offensive rebounds adding to his 2 offensive rebounds from Q2.  Good performances from the entire squad but we now need to be tested against harder opposition.
